You are not just a number at Jeanius Food Consulting. The basis of my entire philosophy surrounding food is personalization. As a result I only take on two new clients each week and I never have more than twelve Joyful Eating clients at one time. This allows me to really focus on your specific needs and gives me the time I need to really get to know you and understand better how to create a program that works for your particular lifestyle. I want you to feel fully seen, heard and supported.
Although I prefer that you work with a Naturopath I understand that everyones circumstances are different and this may not always be possible. If cost is an issue then you could consider having your Doctor refer you to a Medical Dietician for this program. This is something that we can discuss as we develop your program together.
I honestly believe that the best way to keep your body functioning at it's best you need to fill it with the correct fuel. Just like your diesel engine cannot be filled with gasoline and be expected to run well your body requires fuel that works best with your particular engine. Although your vehicle generally comes with a label that tells you what fuel works best, your body does not. Getting a Food Sensitivity Blood Test is like putting a label on your body. This label tells you what fuel will make it run most effectively and what fuel might cause it to run at a lower performance and over time run it down altogether.
If you truly do not wish to get the test I will not insist and am happy to work within your requested parameters. However, I do believe that it is the shortest and most effective route to answers that can best assist you in your journey to healthy and joyful eating.
Depending on your needs I will work with you to find the easiest solutions to your daily food needs including processed foods, prepackaged meals and appropriate restaurants. However, there will likely be a certain amount of cooking and food prep if your requirements are very limiting. If this is the case I will try to ensure that most of your meal plan contains recipes that can be cooked in bulk and frozen in portions for easy cooking or reheating as you go so that you are able to spend as little time as possible in the kitchen.
If your weekly food cost is of concern to your, as I know it is to many people these days, I do keep a database of food costs on my recipes. Let me know your budget and I will work to find you the most economical and nutritious recipes possible while still making it delicious.
If you don’t like a recipe please email me let and what you did not like about it. Be as specific as possible about your reasons. Don’t just say “I don’t like it”. I will wonder if it is the texture or the flavour, or the spice level or if you don’t like one or more of the ingredients. I will wonder if maybe it is because it is too difficult to make or takes too much time and which part of the recipe you are struggling with. So please be as specific as possible about why you don't like it and I will reward you with a new recipe that works better for you.
